Let’s all get together to discuss two crucial topics on all of our minds right now.
How to provide sponsors value during a virtual event.
How to provide sponsors value while working within CPME guidelines.
Exhibitors and sponsors are a crucial component of any event’s bottom line. During this time when most events are “pivoting to virtual”, it is critical for meeting planners to ensure the exhibitor/sponsor experience remains a focus and a positive experience for the vendor. We will discuss how to generate exhibit hall traffic during a virtual event, what sponsorship options are most important to exhibitors during this time, and any challenges we have faced during this time.
Providing value to sponsors while remaining compliant with CPME guidelines has always been a challenge. With the recent updates to the CPME guidelines, it seems even more difficult. While podiatric meeting planners agree and understand why these updates were made, we still have to find a way to offer real value to our sponsors. For many sponsoring companies, that means face-time and pulpit time with the attendees. As we gear up for what will hopefully be a new season of face-to-face events, let’s share some best practices for providing value while being well-behaved providers.
Everyone Is Invited
You are invited! If you have a role in planning podiatric meetings, conferences, or seminars you are invited. Whether you are an executive director, board member, administrative support staff member, committee member, or meeting chair – we want you to join us!
I believe 100% that we should all collaborate and the result of us working together will be improved conferences around the country and the world. I don’t believe in keeping competitors at arm’s length and I don’t believe in keeping good ideas to myself. If you can benefit from a good idea I had – great! We all bring unique experiences to our meetings and there is plenty of room for everyone. Our #1 goal should be to provide an exceptional experience to our attendees and exhibitors.
I’m sure I don’t have every single person on my email list, so please feel free to tell your friends about this event. Simply send them the link to this page and they can RSVP to join us. << Click here for the RSVP link >>
The more people we have involved, the more input and feedback we will share as a group.
Additionally, I have invited any CPME Continuing Education Committee Members that I have on my list. If you know a committee member, please invite them! You can simply forward any of my emails, or the link to this page or have them email me and I’ll be sure to include them. My hope is that they will join us and offer some guidance specific to commercial involvement and CPME guidelines.
